This course will suit you if you are working in marketing at an operational level, or want to build on existing knowledge with a future marketing management role in mind. It will also suit graduates who are new to marketing. You will improve your ability to interpret data, develop creative and planning skills, understand the broad function of marketing and gain an overview of general business activities.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is an international membership organisation for marketing professionals. The CIM recognises the need for professional qualifications and offers a tiered modular syllabus which allows you to tailor a study programme to your individual needs.
Course content
There are 4 modules at Diploma Level
* Marketing Communications
* Marketing Planning
* Marketing Research and Information
* Marketing Management in Practice*
*can only be studied when a minimum of 2 other Diploma modules have been completed.
Teaching and assessment
Assessment is in December and June of each year. Assessment is set by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Each level provides a recognised qualification. All modules are assessed by assignments, integrated projects or examination.
