    This course is a good introduction to marketing and will give you a clear appreciation of tactical issues. It is particularly useful to those moving into marketing roles from other backgrounds. The course covers the whole spectrum of marketing activities at a hands-on level.

    The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is an international membership organisation for marketing professionals. The CIM recognises the need for professional qualifications and offers a tiered modular syllabus which allows you to tailor a study programme to your individual needs.

    Course content

    The Professional Certificate in Marketing consists of 4 modules:

        * Marketing Essentials                                             
        * Assessing the Marketing Environment              
        * Marketing Information and Research                  
        * Stakeholder Marketing                                           

    Students are expected to enrol for all 4 modules unless they have already completed some modules at this level.

    Teaching and assessment

    Assessment is in December and June of each year. Assessment is set by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Each level provides a recognised qualification. All modules are assessed by assignments, integrated projects or examination.
