Course description
Content details NVQ 4 in Children's Children's Care, Learning and Development has nine Units. Four of these are mandatory and cover supporting children's development, reflective practice, establishing and developing working relationships and policies, procedures and practices for safeguarding children and inclusion. There are five optional units which are chosen from a list of 29 to best suit your work circumstances and environment.
How is the course taught
You have a range of lectures, discussions and group tasks. Your current and previous experience is valued and drawn on in the sessions.
Assessment
Assessment is by a mixture of professional discussion, witness testimony, reflective account and direct observation.
Course leads to
You could move on to higher level study or seek promotion in employment.
