Certificate in Professional Development Union Learning
ObjectivesThe course aims to enable participants to critically reflect upon and develop their practice as Trade Union Learning Representatives (ULRs) in the context of Trade Union and industrial strategies and in the wider Lifelong Learning and Skills agenda. The Certificate in Professional Development offers a unique pathway into higher education as the modules map onto the BA in Labour and Trade Union studies. The course has been developed in collaboration with trade unions.
Entry requirementsApplications are welcome from students without formal academic qualifications, but who have attended relevant Trade Union and other courses and can demonstrate experience and knowledge of the subject.

Course descriptionCourse structure
You take four modules. Two modules are core (compulsory) and two are optional . Your optional modules are either designated (related directly to your subject area) or elective (chosen from other areas of the University and can, for example, include a language).
