Business Psychology (MSc)

  • Entry requirements Standard Entry A UK honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in psychology or a related subject area. In cases where the entry requirements are not met but the applicant is a graduate with significant relevant work experience, a selection panel will consider application for admission on a case-by-case basis. If English is not spoken as a first language IELTS of 6.5 is required in all areas.

    There is an increasing demand for professionals that understand organisations and the people that operate within them. Individual, group and organisational processes are inextricably linked to organisational effectiveness and individual well-being.

    Understanding these processes allow the business psychologist to improve organisational functioning and quality of working life. The course runs in parallel with the MSc Occupational Psychology, and we cover issues such as:

        * Leadership and group effectiveness
        * Goals and their effect on performance
        * Training and how people learn
        * Selection and perceived justice of practices
        * Human computer interfaces and how people learn to interact with them.
