Course descriptionIntroduction
Project management has long been used and applied in the IT, construction and engineering fields. Over recent years there has been a growing awareness and appreciation of the use of project management techniques in a much wider range of business settings. This course provides an understanding of the application of project management and enables students and practising managers to develop, adapt and apply project management skills and techniques within any business setting.
The course allows you to integrate project management skills with managerial and strategic knowledge in your chosen field. Named study routes currently include Environmental Management, Social Enterprises, International Business and e-Business.
Course Structure
This course has a flexible modular programme of study. Completion of the full MSc qualification requires the achievement of a programme of 180 master's-level credits. The course programme provides coverage and preparation for the Association of Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge and with additional options allowing Prince 2 certification. According to your individual needs and circumstances, you may alternatively complete a reduced programme to provide for a Postgraduate diploma (105 credits) or postgraduate certificate (60 credits).
