  • Objectives To equip students with the ability to assess the contribution of logistics and transport to competitiveness, customer service and the creation of value To develop students’ comprehension of the strategic dimension of business activity essential in undertaking a management role in any organisation, and to place a priority on integrated management skills as a prerequisite to strategic logistics
  • Entry requirements Entry requirements School entry requirements apply 60 UCAS points, or National Diploma with an overall pass 180 UCAS points, or if including Key Skills level 3, 220 UCAS points. Plus at least 3 GCSEs at grade C or above ( including English and mathematics) or equivalent

  • Course description This programme aims to equip students with an understanding of logistics and transport management; to provide students with a wide understanding of how organisations incorporate and manage these functions; and to equip students with key practical skills in these specialist subject areas required for a career in business purchasing and supply chain management.

    The programme will explore the environment, markets and processes of organisations and will teach students about making business decisions and developing strategies.

    The first year courses are core for this programme and: BA Hons Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation; BA Hons Business Purchasing and Supply Chain Management; BA Hons Project Management; and BA Hons Business Studies. This allows students the option of switching to a more specialist degree at the end of the first year once they have more understanding of the different business disciplines.
