Entry requirementsYou will need to be at least 17 years of age, preferably hold Entry Level 3 in Adult Numeracy and Literacy or Skills for Life at Entry 3. You will attend an interview and sit an initial assessment at the appropriate Level.

Content details
This course covers a range of units such as working in business, financial management, customer service and communicating effectively at work. In addition students will also be introduced to bookeeping (double-entry, cash book and ledgers). Key skills is also integrated into the course. This course will help you to improve your written and spoken English.
How is the course taught
Classrooms, workshops, guest speakers, visits. Some assignment work is actually carried out in class so that you can receive guidance from the teachers.
Assessment
You will pass this course by successfully completing assignments, class activities including presentations and discussions and taking examinations throughout the year. You are helped to pass the course through tutorials and special assignment workshops equipped with computers.
Course leads to BTEC First Diploma in Business, AAT L2 or another Level 2 course. You could gain employment in range of careers e.g. working in an office, retail, finance/bookkeeping.
