    Learn Science and improve your English at the same time. If English is not your first language then this may be the ideal course for you. The course gives you an excellent introduction to Science whilst helping you to improve your spoken and written English.

    Who is this course for?
    Young people aged 16-18 who wish to pursue higher level study in science, but need to top up their English language skills

    What will I study?
    This course is a great starting point for anyone that wants a career in a scientific or medical field. It provides you with a thorough introduction to science and its applications. You study combined science, together with communication (English), ICT and numeracy. Your progress is assessed throughout the year by a series of assignments, projects and minor tests.

    The course includes support with your English and extra help is available for all students who need it.

    BTEC Introductory Diploma in Applied Science

    What can I do after the course?
    Upon successful completion, you can progress on to a range of BTEC First Diploma courses. Most students then go on to more advanced science courses, such as: forensics, health, medical or sports science.
