Course description
BSc Technology
Programme
The programme can be studied as a Joint Honours element in a Joint Honours Degree. The interdisciplinary nature of study is reflected in the cross-faculty approach, where the pathway to the student's final award may be taught in partnership with other departments or faculties.
Year One of the programme allows students to experience many facets of technology including the creation of web pages for the Internet and other related technologies. The programme team is continually fine tuning the technology joint syllabus to ensure that it is kept up to date with modern day requirements. Years Two and Three of the programme build on this solid foundation and lead on to more advanced areas of technology. With the explosive growth in Internet use in recent years this is an area that is bound to increase in importance.
A team of committed staff in the technology area deliver the programme. It has been designed to provide the highest levels of support to students, and contains practical and theoretical elements of technology. On graduating, the student would be well equipped and knowledgeable in the areas of modern technology and its applications.
