ObjectivesThis degree is an up-to-date programme of study for those with an interest in the science of sport, exercise and health-related fitness. It allows you to study physiology, psychology and biomechanics, together with nutrition and the management of sports injuries. You will be encouraged to apply your knowledge to issues within exercise participation and elite sport. There is a strong vocational focus allowing you to develop a variety of career interests and opportunities. The programme provides the underpinning knowledge and skills students require when applying for accreditation for the British Association of Sport & Exercise Science (BASES).
Entry requirementsEntry requirements You will need three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Maths, plus one of the following: * 220 points (including a minimum of two A2 Levels or a 12 unit AVCE or a combination) or * 220 points from BTEC National Diploma/Certificate or * Equivalent Scottish, Irish, Welsh or overseas qualifications or * An equivalent qualification to those listed above (eg Access to Higher Education Certificate, International Baccalaureate)
