BSc Social Anthropology

Objectives
This degree aims to enable students with the ability to locate pivotal points of anthropological and comparative change within the contemporary social world. It will enable students to develop the academic, technical, computing and practical anthropological skills necessary to apply them to modern social issues. Additionally, it will encourage a self-reflective evaluation of diverse cultures and communities. The degree provides students with the opportunity to apply and combine anthropological study with approaches and issues from other disciplines.

Entry requirements
You should have at least 200 points, including two or more A-levels. English Language GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) is also required. These requirements may be varied in individual cases. Applications are welcome from mature students who have passed appropriate Access or other preparatory courses or have appropriate work experience.

Three levels, each of 120 credits. If you take a Joint you study each subject for 60 credits at each level.
