* Taught in conjunction with BBC Training and Development * Gain hands on experience with digital programme making * Produce all types of radio programmes * Develop the technical skills needed to make and distribute programmes * Use multimedia in innovative and creative ways * Radio is a fast growing industry with a skills shortage in multimeida technology.

Entry requirements
Entry requirements * Normally 220 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of two subjects at Advanced Level (or equivalent) * And * Normally Five GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English and Maths. However, we are also keen to talk to mature students (21+) who have relevant industry experience and/or relevant training but who do not meet the above formal qualifications. * BTEC Diploma/Certificate, Advanced VCE(s), Advanced GNVQ, Scottish Higher and Irish Leaving Certificate.

Course description
BSc Radio Production
Programme
Students will have access to expertise and training facilities at BBC Training and Development, Wood Norton. This may involve short periods away from the University campus and students may incur some modest additional costs.
The programme offers extensive levels of practical work (60%) and the study of multimedia and audio-visual technology. Applications include ProTools, Cubase and Audition. Students will be able to learn using state-of-the-art recording studios and broadcast facilities.
In studying Radio Production, students will acquire transferable skills appropriate to different parts of the audio-visual and multimedia industries. Students will gain advanced skills and knowledge in ICT, research and communication, practical experience of production, team work and content development.
