BSc Psychology

  • Objectives Psychology is central to understanding people and their behaviour. Psychology integrates theory and evidence-based knowledge from different areas and perspectives in explaining human behaviour, including genetic, biological, individual and developmental differences. The course provides insights about behaviour in different contexts, such as occupational, forensic, psychological and physical health and illness. The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, and is the first step towards training as a professional psychologist.
  • Entry requirements You should have GCSE Maths grade C (or a pass in the University maths test); 240 points from two A-levels or more; or adv GNVQ-Merit; or BTEC ND in a related science, minimum MMM with at least 6 merits excluding common skills. Applications are welcome from mature students and from students with overseas and European qualifications. Entry from appropriate Access and Foundation courses will also be considered.
