    English language: Minimum grade C in English Language. IELTS - minimum 6.0. TOEFL - minimum 213 (computer-based) or 550 (paper-based) or 80 (internet based).

    A level: AAA-AAB

    Unit grade information: The University of Manchester welcomes the provision of unit grade information which, like all other available information, will inform the consideration of applications. Unit grades will not normally form part of offer conditions, except for Mathematics programmes.

    GCSE: Minimum grade C in English Language.

    Key Skills qualification: The University warmly welcomes applications from students studying the Key Skills qualification. However, as the opportunities to take these modules are not open to all applicants, currently this is not an essential requirement of the University.

    International baccalaureate: 37-33 points overall including minimum of 5-6 points in Mathematics and Physics at Higher level.

    This course provides a coherent combination of subjects of interest to the student whose primary aim is a degree in physics but who wishes also that have an excellent background in the techniques of business and management, especially as applied to science-based commerce and industry. The study of physics is enhanced by placing the professional work activities of physicists in research, commercial and industrial settings, explaining their role in these settings and the commercial and operational contexts of their activities. You are also introduced to a range of methods used in organisational management and acquire the ability, knowledge and skills which underlie the management process.

    It is possible to transfer to the 4-year MPhys course at the beginning of your third year.
