Objectives
This programme offers qualified nurses the opportunity to acquire greater understanding, knowledge and skills to deliver, develop and critically analyse health care practice. The programme is designed to support nurses professional development. It builds on the nurses? existing skills and experience to enable the development of a greater understanding of evidence based practice and manages its delivery to inform work and the ongoing development of patient care. The programme can be taken by experienced and newly qualified registered nurses in all branches (adult, child, mental health and learning disability) as well as by nurses without a registration in the UK.

Entry requirements
We ask for 320 UCAS points i.e. AAC or ABB A level grades. Our teaching does not presuppose any previous knowledge of computer science and in selecting candidates for admission we do not insist on evidence of prior competence in computer programming.

BSc Nursing Studies
Year 1
The following modules must be taken: evidence based practice, research methods and social and psychological perspectives of health and illness as well as a physiology or health policy module. All students must complete a dissertation.
