Objectives
Neuroscience is the study of the function of the nervous system under normal conditions and in relation to disease. It is an experimentally-based science with the aim of understanding the processes that underlie the operation of the nervous system. No traditional scientific discipline can possibly achieve this goal, so neuroscience is a truly modern and multidisciplinary subject which harnesses elements of a wide range of disciplines: anatomy, physiology, developmental biology, cell and molecular biology, pharmacology and medicine, psychiatry and neurology and links to the other sciences of the mind: psychology and philosophy.

Entry requirements
We ask for 320 UCAS points i.e. AAC or ABB A level grades. Our teaching does not presuppose any previous knowledge of computer science and in selecting candidates for admission we do not insist on evidence of prior competence in computer programming.
