BSc Microbiology

Objectives
Microbiology complements biochemistry, genetics and biochemical engineering but provides specialisation in applied microbiology. This course is designed to provide the necessary academic, practical and vocational knowledge and skills to enable you to work effectively in a wide range of microbiological settings. The course studies the diversity of microbial types, how microorganisms can be used and manipulated to aid mankind, and the detrimental effects of microorganisms (eg on health).

Entry requirements
Entry Requirements Minimum of two A2 levels in science subjects at grade C; minimum of Advanced Vocational A level Double Award in Science at grade CC. Equivalent qualifications will also be considered.
