Entry requirements
Entry requirements * Normally 200 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of two subjects at Advanced Level (or equivalent) * And * Normally Five GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English and Maths. However, we are also keen to talk to mature students (21+) who have relevant industry experience and/or relevant training but who do not meet the above formal qualifications. * BTEC Diploma/Certificate, Advanced VCE(s), Advanced GNVQ, Scottish Higher and Irish Leaving Certificate.

BSc Media Technology
Programme
This programme is designed for students with an interest in the technical application of different media. It emphasises the practical use of media technology. Students develop the ability to produce creative forms of media content using new media technologies.
Over 60% of this programme is practical. Applications used on the programme include: Macromedia Flash, Director, Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Encore, Photoshop, Quicktime, Protools, Adobe Audition and 3D Studio Max. Students have access to well-equipped media labs and studios with a dedicated radio production studio, audio recording studio and video production studio.
The programme covers four main areas of study: digital media technology, multimedia and Internet applications and systems, digital video editing with digital imaging and audio production, and technology and digital media contextual studies. Students also develop skills in critical thinking and writing about the way that digital media is understood and used. Students examine both how and why different types of digital media are taken up by audiences and producers alike.
