Objectives
If you are fascinated by the relationship between the media and popular culture, identity and lifestyle, then this course will be of interest. You will explore the history, philosophy and theory of the media and investigate its social and cultural role. A wide range of options offer opportunities for you to pursue aspects of interest, to develop your expertise in particular media or cultural forms, or to develop practical skills.

Entry requirements
You should have at least 200 points, including two or more A-levels. English Language GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) is also required. These requirements may be varied in individual cases.

Course structure
Single Honours students take eight modules at each of three levels. Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Media Studies, plus four from your other subject. You may also choose a Major/Minor after level 1.
