  • Course description Course description

Environmental Science is the branch of science that deals with the relationship between organisms and their environment. It is both a practical and theoretical subject. It integrates and applies a number of scientific disciplines to problems of immense economic and social importance that relate to the long-term maintenance and sustainability of ecosystems and the management of raw materials and fuels.

A science-based understanding of our Environment is vital to ensure that human needs are met, in a sustainable way, so that everyone will have access to clean water, clean air, and the earth resources required for agriculture and industrial activity.

You study core subjects that underpin key environmental issues, such as chemistry, biology, and earth science. There is also a significant amount of flexibility and choice from a wide range of course units within specialist pathways, and our collaborating Schools.
