BSc Environmental Biology

  • Objectives This degree is designed for biologists who wish to understand how plants, animals and micro-organisms function and interact with other organisms and their abiotic environment, and how factors such as climate change, pollution, deforestation and soil degradation affect life. This knowledge is fundamental for effective management and conservation of natural and managed ecosystems. All students must attend at least one residential field course (Environmental Science or Upland Ecology).
  • Entry requirements Required subjects: two A level science subjects, including Biology, plus one other GCE Advanced level; the third GCE Advanced level subject may be replaced with two AS levels, preferably including one science subject IB score: 27-33 (including specified grades in science subjects and English Language)
  • Academic title BSc Environmental Biology
  • Course description BSc Environmental Biology
