Entry requirementsEntry requirements * Normally 240 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of two subjects at Advanced Level (or equivalent) * And * Normally Five GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English and Maths. However, we are also keen to talk to mature students (21+) who have relevant industry experience and/or relevant training but who do not meet the above formal qualifications. * BTEC Diploma/Certificate, Advanced VCE(s), Advanced GNVQ, Scottish Higher and Irish Leaving Certificate.

Programme
This Degree will provide students with the skills to allow them to function as part of a team in the process of developing computer games for various underlining electronic hardware platforms as well as software systems.
Electronic games design, computer games programming, games development tools and graphic engines are core themes in this programme. The programme will follow three streams necessary to games technology: design for creative aspect, computing and hardware.
Modules studied in the first year include:

* Digital Electronics I
* Programming in C
* Computer Game Development.
The second year modules include:
* Critical Games Studies II
* Multimedia and Internet Technology
* Computer Animation
* Computer Games Programming
* Hardware for Computer Games.
In the third year, modules include:
* Individual Project
* Communication Networks
* Advanced Digital Design
* Computer Graphics
* Interactive 3D Modelling.
