Objectives
Microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics, and statistics form the core of this degree, around which you study modules in a wide range of topics. You also have the flexibility to select modules offered by other Schools in the University. The maths and statistics components of the degree are available as either econometrics or quantitative economics. The former is available only to those with A level maths or equivalent.

Year one
In year one, you take microeconomics, macroeconomics, quantitative economics and optional modules from Economics or other Schools.
Year two
In Year Two, you take microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, quantitative economcis, applied economics, modules, and optional modules from Economics or other Schools.
Year three
You will take a selection of modules from the wide range of third-year economics options such as economic development, international trade, health economic theory, labour and monetary economics.
