BSc Crop Science
Programme
Year one
In the first year, you will study subjects that underpin crop science, including biochemistry, genetics, ecology and entomology. The course also looks at the commercial application of biology to the agricultural and food industries.
Years two and three
During the second and third years, the emphasis moves to the application of crop science. A wide range of modules is available in areas such as field crops, agroecology, biotechnology, soil science, management and economics. It is possible to select modules from all of these areas to give a broad-based degree, or to specialise in one or two key subjects.
