Course description
Do you want to be a part of the creation of new technologies which are constantly changing the world around us and our everyday lives? On this course, you will learn to solve every day organisational and end-user problems by analysing, designing and developing technical solutions. You will develop your computing skills by exploring different computing technologies, and will learn how to become a great problem solver. You will gain experience in developing front and back-end web systems, along with mobile and desktop applications using a variety of programming languages and frameworks. In addition to learning core computing skills, you will be able to tailor your degree to the areas of computing which most interest you and your career ambitions. You\'ll also gain valuable work experience on your placement if you choose to take one. Career opportunities are broad and can include roles such as software engineer, web developer, IT analyst, or network engineer. This is one of eight undergraduate computing courses we offer at BU. As we understand that it can be difficult to know what area you’d like to specialise in, all of these courses share a common first year, giving you the time to really explore the subject before deciding on a specialism. You only need to apply for one of the courses in the framework and you will have the opportunity to change your final degree title during your study with us.
