Objectives
Increased demands on health and social services in terms of numbers of patients and clients, the complexity and range of health care needs, greater public expectations and new ways of providing care and delivering services requires a dynamic response. Meeting the needs of individuals, families and populations in the community has never been more challenging and complex.

Entry requirements
Applicants should have: consolidated their first level of registration Registration on the appropriate part of the Professional Register for Nurses and Midwives for the United Kingdom. Diploma in Higher Education or 240 credits of which 120 are Level 1 and 120 are Level 2.

Course description
Content
All students undertake five modules comprising two shared common core and two specialist application modules. These are currently Leadership in Community Practice, Understanding Public Health, Research in Specialist Community Practice and Professional Community Practice. You also take one optional module.
