Academic titleBeng Electronic and Computer Engineering
Course descriptionBeng Electronic and Computer Engineering
Programme
Year One
You will gain an understanding of the principles and practices on which electronic and computer engineering is founded, achieved through the study of analogue and digital electronics, the application of electrical energy and practical work including programming and projects. Your appreciation of the aspects of science and mathematics, which underpin the subject, will also be enhanced.
Year Two
You will continue to develop your understanding of electronic and computer engineering. This will prepare you to study, in the final years of your course, emerging and advanced technologies usually taught by internationally recognised researchers. Group projects, presentations and seminars enable you to gain the skills and understanding essential for the workplace.
Year Three
In the final years, you will be able to choose from a range of specialist topics. You will also undertake an individual research project, which forms a major component of your final year.
