Entry requirementsYou will need grades A-C in maths and English. You must be working in the plumbing industry covering the areas listed above. Other requirements will be discussed at interview, which will include an initial assessment of basic skills.
Course description
Content details
This intensive course is designed for modern apprentices and students new to plumbing. It provides students with the core technical knowledge and practical skills required to work at level 2 as required by the industry. The course covers units such as health and safety, common plumbing processes, cold water systems, central heating system pipework and basic domestic plumbing installation.
How is the course taught
The learning programme includes workshop practical plumbing skills training and practical assessment, plumbing theory tuition and plumbing theory assessment, key skills tuition including numeracy, literacy and ICT
Assessment
All assessments will be carried out at CONEL.
Course leads to
Year two of the same qualification then onto the Technical Certificate City and Guilds 6129-3 Plumbing Level 3 or NVQ Level 2 dependant on your employment status.
