BA Urban Studies and Planning

  • Objectives Our Urban Studies and Planning course offers a professionally-accredited route into the planning profession. Our Urban Studies and Geography and Planning degrees allow you to combine the study of planning with related fields and offer flexibility to move between courses and to enter a range of careers when you graduate. Each of our courses has a distinctive structure and content, with options that allow you to shape your own programme of study. Small group and individual teaching, and assessment by coursework, increase in importance as you progress through your studies. We operate a personal and academic development system to help you to get the most from your university experience. We also have an excellent record of graduate employment.
  • Entry requirements Entry requirements GCE/VCE A Levels - BBB Two GCE A Levels plus two GCE AS Levels - BB+BB Scottish Advanced Highers - BBC Scottish Highers - ABBB Irish Leaving Cert. - ABBBB BTEC Level N - 2 Distinctions, 1 Merit International Baccalaureate - 32 points European Baccalaureate - 73% Core Requirements - Grade C in GCSE Maths. Other useful, but not compulsory subjects are: Economics, History, Sociology, Law, Art, Design and Technology.

    Some departments offer courses that don't feature optional modules whereas other courses are fully flexible.
