ObjectivesThis course focuses on designing textiles for the interior and product markets with an emphasis on realising end applications for designed textiles, and an opportunity to make end products. Strong emphasis is placed on experimentation and you explore stitch, mixed-media, print, weave and knit before specialising. Live projects, competitions and placement opportunities will address professionalism and employability. Learning includes professional studies and marketing with practical design work to develop your creative skills and prepare you for a design career.
Entry requirementsApplicants will be asked to attend an interview with a portfolio of creative work. Admission to level 2 is possible for those with relevant prior experience or qualification and a substantial portfolio of work.
