Sociology and social policy are popular disciplines for undergraduates. These are fields of study of increasing social relevance to contemporary society, in terms of changing demographics and issues relating to globalisation and migration. Sociology seeks to address the need for a clear understanding of society and social processes to address the problems of late modernity.
Students who undertake this course will benefit from an opportunity to develop specialist knowledge of diversity, health and community from sociological and social policy perspectives; as well as being equipped to analyse, and work within complex late modern societies.
