Objectives
This renowned photography course gives you the opportunity to develop your passion for making and using images. If you enjoy responding to – and shaping – the world around you, then studying photography with us will allow you to develop a unique and personal visual language to this end.

Entry requirements
Art and Design Foundation, BTEC, National Diploma or equivalent accepted. Normally applicants attend an interview and present their portfolio. Alternatively, A level/AS level/Vocational A level: normally 220-300 points.

Programme
Design Photography Year 1
* You have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of approaches to photography, through observation and construction and within contexts such as illustration, editorial, bookwork and exhibition
* Practice is contextualised through tutorials, seminars and lectures
We set the pattern of regular tutorials, seminars and lectures that contextualises practice and which continues throughout the course.
Design Photography Year 2
* Take risks while consolidating skills both through individual projects, that can be linked throughout the year, and the collaborative practice studio experience – the unique Set Construction Project
* Through an exchange programme there is also the opportunity to study abroad – Spain, Italy, France or Holland (among others)
Design Photography Year 3
* The previous two years' experience allows you to construct your own individual programme, evolving it into a unique visual language by the end of the course
* The final year is underpinned by the dissertation and visits from a range of professionals to help prepare you for what you wish to achieve after university
