BA Philosophy

Objectives
Philosophy teaches you to think for yourself about philosophical issues and to subject possible answers to analysis and counter-argument, developing your skills of analysis, argument and expression. The course provides comprehensive coverage of different areas of philosophy, within both the Anglo-American and Continental traditions of western philosophy.

Entry requirements
You should have 200 points from at least two or more A-levels. Applications from mature students are welcomed.

Course structure
Single Honours students take eight modules a year at each of three levels. Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Philosophy, plus four from your other subject. You may also choose a Major/Minor combination after level 1.
