ObjectivesThis course covers the rapidly expanding areas of molecular biology and genetics which have ever increasing impacts on modern life. For example, the findings of the Human Genome Project, which have been obtained using modern techniques of molecular biology, have changed our views on how human life is controlled. There is the potential to generate great benefits in improved healthcare provision. Applications beyond this include improvements in agriculture and the environment.
