Objectives
The Management degree at the University is the equivalent of a degree in Business Studies and Business Management at other universities. In the first year, you will learn the basics of management, including behaviour at work, management information systems, marketing, and operations management, and also the related areas of accounting, economics, and quantitative and IT skills. In the second and third year you will study core areas of management like business strategy, consumer behaviour, corporate and social responsibility, human resource management and organisational behaviour. In addition, the availability of options in the second and third year gives you the flexibility to study areas of management which interest you in greater depth. This can include areas like corporate governance, enterprise and entrepreneurship, management consulting, project management, and work and organisational psychology. We have links with companies that sponsor modules, give guest lectures about specific aspects of management, and allow students to make company visits.
