ObjectivesOur degrees give you the opportunity to combine your interest in foreign languages with a strong professional orientation. You will gain insights into languages and their varied socio-cultural contexts, and develop the skills needed in a world of growing globalisation. We put great emphasis on using the language and provide you with the study skills that enable you to become an independent language learner. You will be working with the latest applied technology in language learning and translation. You will have the opportunity to spend a year abroad on a work or study placement in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain or Russia. We are also developing increasing links with Latin America.
Entry requirementsTypical entry requirements A level grades BBB (300 points) Grade B in the appropriate language at A level or equivalent is required for programmes incorporating French, German or Spanish. Please contact us for the requirements for ab initio Spanish or Russian.
