Objectives
This demanding BA Honours programme combines thorough professional training with a broad academic education for committed would-be journalists including subjects such as politics and the history of the media. The programme has strong links with television and radio, national and provincial newspapers, local newspaper groups and magazine publishers. You will be encouraged to undertake an industrial attachment in order to experience professional media practice in the workplace.

Entry requirements
For BA Honours: 2 'A' levels /AVCE (including 3 AS levels) grade A-C and 5 GCSE passes grade A-C (or equivalent) or EDEXCEL/BTEC HND or ND and a relevant Foundation course.

You will be taught by experienced practising newspaper, television, radio and magazine journalists and also by specialists in such fields as:
* Media law
* Periodical management
* Information technology
* Technical and consumer journalism
* Photography
* Media studies
* Electronic publishing
You will also benefit from a guest lecture programme of visiting leading professionals, including senior television producers and national newspaper and magazine editors.
