Objectives
This new course is aimed at students who are interested in making a career in journalism or in a related area. Although the course focuses primarily on print publications, it also covers the world of broadcast and web journalism. The course offers the opportunity for students to undertake a work placement. BA Journalism is designed to develop writing skills, a nose for news and to provide a forum for analysis and debate. The course will enable you to become an effective journalist across a broad range of media.

Entry requirements
Students should have 200 points from at least two six-unit awards or one 12-unit award. Mature students are welcome.

Single Honours students study eight modules at each of three levels. Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Journalism, plus four from your other subject.
