BA Hispanic Studies

  • Objectives On this four-year BA (Hons) degree, you will spend your third year abroad in Spain or Latin America. About a third of teaching time is spent developing your written and oral fluency in Spanish. You'll learn in small groups and have the use of language laboratory, video and satellite TV facilities as well as weekly classes with native Spanish speakers.
  • Practical experience Year abroad: We offer an excellent range of year abroad options in Spain and Latin America.
  • Entry requirements -GCE/VCE A Levels - BBC -Two GCE A Levels plus two GCE AS Levels - BB+BC -Scottish Highers - ABBB (must include at least one Advanced Higher) -Scottish Advanced Highers - BBC -Irish Leaving Cert. - ABBBB -International Baccalaureate - 30 points -Core Requirements - Grade B in GCE A Level Spanish or appropriate evidence of linguistic ability required. You can take our beginner's course in Spanish and then go on to our Honours degree; for this route (or if you have good AS Level Spanish) you'll need grade B at GCE A Level in another language or equivalent evidence of linguistic ability.
