BA Hispanic Studies and Economics

  • Objectives The dual degree in Hispanic Studies and Economics is a four year course which provides the opportunity to gain a solid grounding in modern economic theory in the Economics half of the degree, while you study the language, society, literature and thought of Spain and Latin America. You spend the third year of your course abroad in a Spanish-speaking country.
  • Practical experience We offer an excellent range of year abroad options in Spain and Latin America
  • Entry requirements -GCE/VCE A Levels - BBB -Two GCE A Levels plus two GCE AS Levels - BB+BB -Scottish Highers - AABB (must include at least one Advanced Higher) -Scottish Advanced Highers - BBB -Irish Leaving Cert. - ABBBB -International Baccalaureate - 32 points -Core Requirements - Grade B in GCSE Maths and Grade B in GCE A Level Spanish or appropriate evidence of linguistic ability required. You can take our beginner's course in Spanish and then go on to our Honours degree - for this route (or if you have good AS Level Spanish) you'll need Grade B at GCE A Level in another language or equivalent evidence of linguistic ability. Economics is not essential.
