BA German and Italian

  • Objectives The aim of this course is to develop your command of the German and Italian languages to the point where you would feel at ease in professional or social exchanges with educated native speakers, and also to give you an in-depth understanding of key aspects of the culture of the two countries. An integral part of the programme is the year abroad which will give you first-hand knowledge of contemporary German and Italian society and culture.
  • Entry requirements 300 points from three A levels or 320 points from 3 A levels and one AS level. Total points exclude Key Skills and General Studies. Subjects: Candidates must have either A level German or A at GCSE. Candidates with an A at GCSE can enter the programme by following an intermediate German language module. Candidates who have not studied German but have a modern foreign language A level can enter the programme by following beginners German language modules.
