ObjectivesThis course caters for the growing demand from both the business and environmental sectors for graduates with an awareness of the economic, political and social issues surrounding the environment, policy and management. It is taught jointly by the School of Geography and the Nottingham Business School.

Programme
Year one
During this year you will take core skills modules in Geography including an Introduction to Geographical Information Systems, Interpreting Geographical Data and a residential field course. In Human Geography introductions are provided to cultural, economic, social, rural and urban geography.
Business themes include Business Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business, People and Organisations and Contemporary Economic Policy.
Year two
During this year you take a compulsory skills module dealing with Techniques in Human Geography and a core module on Economic and Urban Geography. In addition you will follow two optional pathways from a choice of five which include GIS, Rural Environmental Geography,Medical Geography and Cultural and Historical Geography.
Business themes include Technology and Organisations, Marketing Strategy and Managing the Marketing Mix.
Year three
This year involves the research and production of a 10,000 word dissertation on a topic of your choice, together with modules dealing with the Geographies of Money and Fashion and Food.
Business themes are Human Resource Management and Strategic Management.
