BA Exhibition and Retail Design

  • Objectives The one year 'top-up' programme in Interior Design/Exhibition and Retail Design has been designed for HND Spatial Design students (or those with similar or comparable experiences), who show outstanding ability and have completed an appropriate programme (or equivalent) with Distinction, and who wish to extend their studies through an intensive programme at degree level.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements HND with Distinction in Spatial Design, or comparable/equivalent subject area, plus satisfactory completion of interview, supported by appropriate portfolio o Or Other suitable experience or qualifications will be considered and/or those with relevant experiential learning experience(s), plus satisfactory completion of an interview, supported by appropriate portfolio of work.

    The courses are delivered over one academic year:

    BA(Hons) Interior Design
    o Or
    BA(Hons) Exhibition and Retail Design
    Preparatory Studies:- normally a four week block that precedes the full course programme
    Design Project (Interior Design) (40 credits)
    o Or
    Design Project (Exhibition and Retail Design) (40 credits)
    Professional Practice and Design Project Management (20 credits)
    Research Study (20 credits)
    Major Design Project (40 credits)
