You can also try a range of subsidiary modules offered by other Departments.
Year two
Core modules develop the four areas of English literature, language, medieval studies and drama. Second year study develops this introduction to include a module on literary theory.

You may choose from a wide range of specialist modules. Module options offered in the past have included single-author studies, genre studies and period studies in literature, topics in language such as sociolinguistics or English language teaching and work on performance and theatre, all giving you the chance to study in smaller groups with an expert in the field.
