ObjectivesThe programme is for those with an interest in the English language and linguistics, including some or all of the following: how to describe, analyse and research language ? the study of English as a medium of communication in the contemporary world the relationship between language, society and culture ? the teaching and learning of English as a foreign and/or second language the use of English and other languages in multicultural communities ? the psychology of language, language processing and language disabilities
Entry requirementsEntry Requirements -International Baccalaureate 34 points overall including HL6 in English and History -Irish Leaving Certificate A1 A1 B1 B1 B2 B2 at Higher level including grade B1 in English or History -European Baccalaureate 80% overall inc 80% in English or History -USA: Advanced Placement Tests Three AP subjects with 544 including English or History at grade 5 -Australia: Tertiary Entrance Ranking 95+ Tertiary Entrance Ranking, or an OP of band 4 for Queensland
