BA Education Studies

  • Objectives This course is designed for you if you have an academic interest in education, but who do not necessarily (at the moment) wish to enter teaching. Education Studies introduces learners to the range of disciplines that have been used to make sense of educational relations. You will encounter perspectives deriving from sociology, history, psychology and philosophy as well as those rooted in policy studies, cultural studies and feminism. Educational processes are understood in their broadest sense and encompass all sectors of education, formal and informal as well as engaging with cultural, social and political issues.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements

You need to have a combination totalling not less than 200 points, including a minimum of two 6-unit awards or one 12-unit award. GCSE grade C, or equivalent, in English is essential.
