Objectives
A commitment to the value of all dance forms in Western and non-Western cultures underpins our Dance and Culture programmes. A focus on dance of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, from ballet to kathak, break-dance to tango, allows you to study and experience dance forms as they exist today and encourages you to understand their histories and influences. Strong links between theory and practice support the development of your knowledge across a range of disciplines and enable you to gain an understanding of the rich diversity in current dance practices.
