BA Costume with Textiles

Objectives
The course combines costume design and production with the innovative use of textile fabrics and processes, making full use of the Department's extensive facilities. You will receive an excellent grounding in characterisation, costume design, costume construction, textiles for costume, contextual studies and business. Projects explore a wide range of performance types and you will have the opportunity to undertake collaborative and sponsored projects.

Entry requirements
Additional requirements for this course are normally one of the following: Successful completion of a Foundation course in Art and Design. A minimum of 240 points gained in A levels including two 6-unit (A2) awards. A minimum of 200 points gained in Advanced Vocational Certificate in Education (AVCE) double awards. An EdExcel/BTEC National Diploma, with merits in a relevant subject. In addition to the above, strong emphasis will be placed on the quality of your portfolio and a satisfactory interview.
