ObjectivesThe Foundation Year is the first year of a four-year extended programme of Undergraduate studies in the Department. It offers the opportunity to enter University twelve months earlier than by the customary route. The course provides students the chance to engage, explore and experiment with a diverse range of Art, Media and Design subjects. Students build up a portfolio of skills and experience sufficient to progress to JCAMD Undergraduate degree courses that are most appropriate to their needs and aspirations.
Entry requirementsThe normal minimum qualifications are one A level and three GCSEs grade A to C (or equivalent). The Foundation Year encourages applications from students with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Course descriptionCourse structure
You will take 4 core modules in the first semester. In the second semester you will take two core modules and select two further modules from a menu.
